Imagine 355 Young Singers, Two from SLM!

Aibrienn Patterson (front, red robe) from SLM Religious Education and Layla Buncio (behind) from SLM School represented the SLM Children's Choir {CC-Team) at the Annual American Federation of Pueri Cantores' Southern California Youth Festival & Mass held Saturday, March 22, 2025, at Christ Cathedral, Garden Grove. More than 350 young singers, from 19 choirs, attended this day-long musical extravaganza. Singers performed 15 musical pieces which they prepared for months: Latin, Greek, and English chants, classical and traditional choral works, and a contemporary Spanish motet. CC-Team Head Coach Les Rangel-Santos led the delegation with coaches Sarah Bacon and Monica Rangel-Santos. Diana Brownson and Jon Hauer round up the coaching staff. The CC-Team practices weekly on Wednesday at 3:15PM-4:15PM in the church and now serves at Mass once-a-month as scheduled.
